Meet the owners

Welcome to our home. As we pursue God’s kingdom

we have found ourselves making warm, inviting meals

for many friends, family members, and strangers. Our

marriage has been built with a pillar of hospitality. It is

our joy to connect with loved ones over the simple

pleasures of gourmet dishes and drinks. Shannon and

I met while attending Central Michigan University in

the spring of 2019 where we frequently journeyed

through local park expeditions.

Shannon grew up in Zeeland, MI. She is vocally and instrumentally talented. She received her undergraduate degree from CMU and is currently pursuing a doctorate within Neuroscience. Her current study analyzes the functionalities of the brain in cases where Alzheimer's becomes present.

I grew up in Novi, MI. Originally, I chose CMU to study meteorology, but found my faith in Jesus Christ which shifted my focus into Psychology and Entrepreneurship (degrees I eventually received). The Ignite Donut journey began in the summer of 2017, when I made my first ever batch of donuts. In the summer of 2018 the famous Ignite Donuts recipe was created. In 2021 I received my Masters in Entrepreneurial Ventures and soon after opened up our first location.

Shannon & I are involved with many local church ministries, enjoy traveling (especially Marquette, MI), and are active runners. We hope you enjoy the space and people that God surrounds us with.
